The University of Miami's Department of Social work (DOCS) four student run complimentary centers: the Caridad Center in Boynton Beach, the Center for Haitian Studies (CHS) Clinic in Little Haiti, the CONCEPT DOCS Night Center in Overtown, and the San Juan Bosco (SJB) Clinic in Allapattah. All offer special chances for medical students to provide back to the community, receive mentorship from physicians, and gain experience in functioning as an integral part of the healthcare group.
SJB Center offers care to a diverse immigrant neighborhood mainly from Latin America and the Caribbean, while CHS serves citizens and Haitian immigrants in the Little Haiti neighborhood.
